The KMA practice is based in Dublin and Wexford and carries out projects throughout Ireland. Across the work is a constant commitment to the making of spaces and places of character that are both thoughtful and practical.
The practice is driven by a curiosity with all types and scales of design. We enjoy and encourage the development of projects through a process of collaboration with all parties involved. This is important to us. We hope in all cases to open up the process so that the emerging design is something initially unimagined by any party, yet ultimately representative of all involved.
At KMA, we try to bring a sense of invention and delight in the spaces, shaped and formed through our collaborations with clients, contractors and other contributors. Our hope is that the resulting designs can have a lasting, positive impact on those who use and encounter the work. Central to the process is a deep interest in the characteristics of materials and both new and traditional processes and methods of making buildings.
