Clara School

The Department for Education brief for this national school expansion project required a design to combine and consolidate two existing classroom blocks with a new classroom and administration extension bridging the two. 

The complex brief was resolved through organising the new accommodation to complete a courtyard to the North whilst forming a sheltered play area to the West. A second extension adding another classroom acts to further enclose a second courtyard. A pair of colourful organising walls signal entrances and orientate the circulation for the new amalgamated complex.
