Wexford Beach House
Designed in collaboration with Ken Meehan Snr. this beach house is essentially a rebuild of an existing timber chalet typical of this part of the East coast.
Separated from the sea by an existing cast concrete serrated sea defence wall the house is simple in plan with three bedrooms wrapping around a main kitchen- dining- living space.
The seaward wall is fully glazed with remaining walls clad externally in either cedar or dashed render. To exploit low sunlight a gull wing copper roof opens to morning sun in the East and evening sun to the West.
